On the blog: Thank you, Steve Babbitt!

A million. For everything you do. With a cherry on top.

There's really no way to adequately thank photographer Steve Babbitt for his superb work covering Passage of Wind and Water's first year.

Steve is an art photographer and a professor at Black Hills State University and has given many, many hours to the project as it unfolds. Long before Yuki began carving, Steve delivered creative pictures of the granite blanks against the gorgeous blue South Dakota skies and in their busy, social context at Main Street Square.

Once Yuki started carving in July, Steve thoughtfully captured his progress, helping the rest of us see details and meaning as well as the artist behind the work.

He rose early many mornings to meet Yuki at the work site when the light was just right. He experimented with artful aerial and time-lapse videos. He attended field trips and functions and took thousands of gorgeous pictures of the work that we have used to tell and understand the story of this extraordinary art project.

You can view Steve's photos and videos of the Sculpture Project on our Facebook page and his other exceptional work on his website.

Thank you, Steve.
